I know a lot of Christians start out thinking that since they are on God’s side that their life will be perfect, meaning that they will always be happy, because of course God wants us to always be happy. When people think this and trouble comes their way their faith is completely shaken, because their reality does not fit into what they believe about God. Happiness isn’t the real goal.
